| A married couple aged 50 and 51 and their 20-year-old daughter drowned today in the Santolea reservoir in Castellote (Teruel), where they had gone to have a swim.
According to information from the emergency services, the incident occurred just before 3pm today in the area known as "Central de Pantano".
Apparently, the three were taking a swim when the man, only identified so far as Eduardo G.G. from Alcaņiz (Teruel), asked for help in getting out of the water.
His daughter, Pilar G.G. from Zaragoza, and his wife Consuelo G.M. went to his aid, but the three of them ended up drowning.
The daughter's body was found in a deep pool at the foot of the reservoir and the couple's bodies were found about 100 metres further away in the river Guadalope.
The three were pronounced dead at the scene by a medical team from Mas de las Matas.
